Police Investigating Double Homicide In Bowmanville

DURHAM REGION-Investigators are on scene at a residential home in Bowmanville for Durham Region’s third homicide investigation of 2023.

On Saturday, February 4, 2023, at approximately 2:15 p.m., members of Durham Regional Police East Division responded to an address on Crombie Street after receiving a call to check on the well-being of the occupants of the home.  When police arrived on scene officers located two deceased adults suffering from obvious signs of trauma. Members from Forensic Investigative Services were called to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.

The coroner has attended and an autopsy has been ordered.

The Homicide Unit has now taken over this investigation and are asking for anyone with information or video footage, including dashcam and home surveillance, to please contact police.

The two deceased are the third and fourth victims of homicide in Durham Region in 2023.

Anyone with new information is asked to contact Det. Dorego of the Major Crimes Homicide Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5319.
