Check Out This Outdoor Candle Light Skate In Lakefield

KAWARTHA LAKES-Picture hundreds of twinkling lights lining the ice after dark. Why not grab some friends, lace up your skates and head to the Candle Light Skate at the speed skating oval in Lakefield.

The event is on Friday, February 3 from 5:30-9pm at the 400m Ontario Speedskating Oval at 3358 Lakefield Road in Selwyn/Lakefield. It is part of Polarfest which runs from the 3-5th of February.

PolarFest is an exciting family festival, offering something for everyone to enjoy! A weekend full of laughter, friendly competition and the enjoyment of winter.

Choose from activities for the young and the young at heart, including:

  • Opening Ceremony with fireworks display
  • Snowman Building Challenge
  • Candlelight Skate
  • Ice Carvings
  • For the very brave – the BEL Rotary Polar Plunge!
