No Injuries In Truck Fire On Highway 7 Near Oakwood

KAWARTHA LAKES-A City of Kawartha Lakes firefighter on his way to work this morning found himself on the receiving end of services after his truck caught fire.

District Chief Dave Kish says it happened at around 5am this morning. The firefighter smelled smoke and by the time he got out of the vehicle flames were already visible.

No one was injured but the truck is a write-off. There’s no word on the cause of the blaze.
