Multiple Vehicles Have Tires Slashed In Downtown Bancroft

KAWARTHA LAKES-Bancroft OPP has charged one person following multiple vehicle tires being slashed in downtown Bancroft.

Police say on January 11, 2023, the Bancroft Detachment OPP responded to multiple calls for tires that had been slashed in the Town of Bancroft. The investigations led to the arrest of one person.

Edward Munro, a 64-year-old from Bancroft, has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:

– Mischief Under $5000 – seven counts; and

– Fail to comply with an undertaking.

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on January 12, 2023 in relation to the criminal charges.
