Peterborough Police K-9 Called In To Track Suspect In Break And Enter In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-You can run but you can’t hide when the police dogs are called in.

Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a commercial business on Angeline Street North in Lindsay at approximately 2am this morning. When police arrived, they say they found a window at the front of the store had been broken. Further investigation revealed that a lone suspect had entered the premise, filled a large bag with property and then fled the area on foot.

A Peterborough Police K9 unit attended to assist. After following a track for over 2 km, a suspect was located and the stolen items wererecovered according to police.

27-year-old Jakob Manning is charged with Break and Enter, Mischief, Theft, Possession of Stolen Property and Failing to Comply with a Court Order.

He will appear for a bail hearing later today.
