Two Lindsay Residents Charged With Impaired Driving Over The Weekend

KAWARTHA LAKES-Tow Lindsay men are facing impaired driving charges.

On December 16th, 2022 at 11:30 pm, Police were called to the area of Old Mill Park on Kent Street East in Lindsay regarding two vehicles driving recklessly in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers say they observed a vehicle leave the parking lot and driving in an erratic manner on Kent St E. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was investigated.

As a result of the investigation, 29-year-old Kristopher Godwin of Lindsay was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 Plus). Godwin is scheduled to appear in court on January 26th, 2023.

Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Lindsay Street South, in the Lindsay on December 17th, 2022 at 1:18 am. 24-year-old Owen Forbes of Lindsay was charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 Plus). Forbes is scheduled to appear in court on January 26th, 2023.

Both drivers had their vehicles impounded for 7 days and their Driver’s license suspended for 90 days.
