KAWARTHA LAKES-An Omemee man is facing charges after being stopped at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) stop in Lindsay.
Police say on Wednesday afternoon at 4:51PM, officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. program near York Street and Russell Street West. Officers stopped a vehicle, while speaking with the driver they say they observed possible signs of impairment. A roadside screening test was administered, and as a result the driver was arrested. 62-year-old Frank Ivison of Omemee has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on January 12, 2023.Â
