Dunsford Man Charged With Impaired Driving

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 31-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after a call from the public.

On Wednesday, November 23, the Kawartha Lakes Police received the report of a possible impaired driver in the area of Lindsay Street North and King Street in Lindsay. Police say officers located the vehicle parked in a King Street parking lot, the driver had gotten out of the vehicle and returned a short time later. While speaking with the driver the officers allegedly noticed signs of impairment and observed alcohol and drug packaging within the vehicle according to police.

As a result of an investigation, 31-year-old Brett McDonnell of Dunsford has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drug and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on January 5, 2023.
