KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPPÂ Bancroft Crime Unit, with the assistance of OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit have arrested one person during a search warrant conducted at a residence.
Police say on November 14, 2022, 46-year-old Richard Carroll was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Luring a Person Under 16 years of age by means of Telecommunication, contrary to section 172.1(1)(b);
- Invitation to Sexual Touching, contrary to section 152; and,
- Distribution of Child Pornography, contrary to section 163.1(2).
The accused has been in custody since their initial arrest date on November 14, 2022.
