Peterborough Man Charged With Assaulting Youth At Downtown Business

PETERBOROUGH-A 48-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were called to a business in the Dublin and George Street area just after noon on November 9 about a call of a youth being assaulted by an unknown male. Upon arrival officers learned that the 18-year-old victim was allegedly punched in the face several times by the suspect. Officers located the suspect in the business and took him into custody. The victim did not require medical attention according to police.

As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault
  • Fail to Comply with Probation

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court November 30, 2022.

Peterborough Police no longer release the names of people charged with crimes.
