Lindsay Man Charged With Assaulting A Police Officer After Dispute At Local Motel

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay man has been charged with assaulting a Police officer after a family dispute.

On Monday November 7, 2022 at 4:54PM Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a family dispute at a Lindsay Street South motel. According to police, officers were called back on two occasions after the situation continued to escalate.

An unwanted, intoxicated male outside the motel room was banging on the door and yelling according to police . Officers arrested the male and while in custody he allegedly spat in the officer’s face.  56-year-old Kyle Henry of Lindsay has been charged with assault peace officer and being intoxicated in a public place. 

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on December 15, 2022.
