Local Schools To Reopen Tomorrow, Regular Transportation In Place

KAWARTHA LAKES-Local kids are heading back to class on Tuesday.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) has announced that staff will return to work tomorrow, Tuesday, November 8.

Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) schools and Board sites are open to students and staff tomorrow, November 8, for in-person learning and a regular scheduled day.

Regular transportation will be in place tomorrow according to the board.

55,000 CUPE members walked off the job on Friday and were off on Monday after contract negotiations with the province failed.

Negotiations between the two parties continue.
