Special Operations Aviation Squadron Griffon Helicopter To Conduct Ceremonial Flypast Of Cenotaph in Norland

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Department of National Defence has announced a CH-146 Griffon helicopter from 427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron at Garrison Petawawa will conduct a flypast for the planned Remembrance Day Service and Cenotaph Re-dedication event being held in Norland – Kawartha Lakes, Ontario on November 5, at approximately 10:45 a.m.

Officials say the helicopter will fly over the area at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on their route.

Flypasts by the Canadian Armed Forces aircraft are conducted in support of special events, and are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety. They are dependent upon weather and flying conditions.
