Lindsay Woman Facing Assault Charges After Victim Allegedly Struck In The Head With A Bottle

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 28-year-old Lindsay resident is facing charges after an incident early Saturday morning. 

At approximately 1:30AM on Saturday October 29 officers were called to the area of York Street South on the report that several people were fighting.  Upon arrival, officers say they learned that a group of individuals engaged in a physical altercation after exiting a local establishment. According to police an individual attempting to diffuse the fight was struck in the head with a bottle. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 28-year-old Aleasha Lamoureux of Lindsay has been charged with assault with a weapon. 

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West on December 8, 2022.
