Little Britain Man Charged After Robbery At Lindsay Business

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 23-year-old Little Britain Man is facing charges after a robbery at a business in Lindsay.

Police say on Tuesday October 25 at approximately 5:00 AM the suspect entered a Lindsay Street South business wearing a black bandana covering his face and demanded money. The suspect pushed a plexiglass partition on top of an employee, taking money from the cash register according to police. The suspect exited the business and fled northbound on Lindsay Street South. 

Police were called and with the assistance of witness, officers located and arrested the suspect at a residence on Lindsay Street. According to police the suspect discarded items of clothing in an attempt to elude police, which were located by officers searching the area. The complainant suffered minor injuries as a result of this incident. 

23-year-old Trent Sharpe of Little Britain has been charged with robbery with violence and disguise with intent. The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 27, 2022.
