Peterborough Police Investigating Multiple Reports Of Vehicles Being Damaged

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough Police say officers have received a number of online reports regarding damage to vehicles.

Online reports were filed about vehicles being damaged in the Bethune Street and Edinburgh Street area on Sunday October 15. Police say in each of the four cases a window was smashed, and items taken from the vehicles.  In some instances, credit and bank cards were then used fraudulently.

There were also two reports of vehicles being damaged in the west end of the City of Peterborough in the Ravenwood and Glenforest area.  In each case windows were smashed, and items taken.

There were also several reports made last week with regard to incidents of damaged vehicles and theft in the Edinburgh Street and Aylmer Street area.

Peterborough Police asks residents to continue reporting any incidents through the online reporting portal or if it is an emergency to call 9-1-1. They are also reminding residents not to leave valuables in their vehicles overnight.

Anyone with information or if you see suspicious activity in your neighbourhood, please call Peterborough Police at 705-876-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
