Local Paramedics Don Pink Epaulettes To Support Breast Cancer Programs At Ross Memorial Hospital

KAWARTHA LAKES-Local paramedics are once again sporting pink epaulettes in support of Ross Memorial Hospital.

It’s a fundraiser for the Breast Assessment Centre at the hospital as part of Pink Epaulette Month.

Councillors Kathleen Seymour-Fagan and Tracy Richardson have supported this program for the past 4 years and were on hand to promote the event today. Paramedics purchase pink epaulettes to be worn on their uniform shirts and jackets during the month of October, encouraging support for the Ross Memorial’s Diagnostic Imaging Breast Health program.

“I want to say thank you to our amazing paramedics for all they do every day. The City is very lucky to have such knowledgeable, professional and compassionate paramedics answering calls for help each and every day.”

In 2019 they raised $1,800 for RMH’s diagnostic tools and breast cancer program.

Public donations can be made at paramedic headquarters located at 4 Victoria Avenue North in  Lindsay.
