Bancroft OPP Investigating Fatal Crash On Highway 28

KAWARTHA LAKES-Bancroft OPP is continuing to investigate a fatal collision, east of Bancroft, Ontario.

Police say on September 15, 2022, shortly before 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles on Highway-28, near Belton Road. A passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead.

The deceased has been identified as 68-year-old Carole O’Brien, of Denbigh Township.

The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, involving officers from the Bancroft Detachment, as well as the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionist.
