Lindsay Resident Charged With Attempting To Break Into Apartment Complex

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 34-year-old Lindsay resident is facing charges after police received a report of a break and enter in progress.

Police say on Tuesday June 14, 2022 at 9:34pm officers received a call from an observant citizen regarding a break and enter. The caller, intervened after witnessing a male allegedly attempting to break into an apartment complex on Albert Street South in Lindsay. Police say they arrived, as the male fled the area on a bicycle. Police searched the area and with the assistance of witness information were able to locate the male hiding under a fallen tree. The male was placed under arrest for break and enter. At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of break in instruments according to police.

34-year-old Troy Sprague of Lindsay is charged with break, enter dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of break-in instruments and fail to comply with probation order.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on July 21, 2022.
