PETERBOROUGH-Two Brampton men are facing charges after Peterborough police were made aware of a housing unit takeover Monday afternoon.
At approximately 3:45pm on June 13, 2022, officers were made aware of the situation at a residence in Peterborough around two unwanted males who would not leave. Following further investigation, just before 6:00pm, the Emergency Response Team entered the residence and took two men into custody. Police say a loaded handgun, a quantity of drugs and cash was located inside the residence.
As a result:
A 21-year-old Brampton man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammo
- Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Fail to comply with undertaking (undertaking issued June 9th to remain outside the City of Peterborough)
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today, June 14, 2022.
A 20-year-old Brampton man was arrested and charged with:
