Coboconk Man Wins $100,000 On ENCORE

KAWARTHA LAKES-Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Thom Fegan of Coboconk. He matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the May 25, 2022 ONTARIO 49 draw to win $100,000!

Tom, a 62-year-old father and grandfather, said he’s been a regular lottery player for many years. “I only started playing ONTARIO 49 on the recommendation of my girlfriend about a year ago,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I was checking a few tickets and when I got to this ticket, I couldn’t believe it. I was shocked and had to scan it again to make sure the same message came up.”

Tom said although dreaming of winning the lottery is fun, this is fantastic. “It’s just wow…next level!”

He plans to pay some bills, complete some home renovations, and save the rest of his winnings. “I want this money to last well into my retirement years,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on Highway 35 in Fenelon Falls.
