Teen Charged With Assault Causing Bodily Harm In Domestic Dispute

PETERBOROUGH-A 15-year-old Peterborough male is facing charges after an incident Monday evening in Peterborough.

At approximately 8:30pm on May 30, 2022, police received several 9-1-1 calls about two people involved in a domestic dispute in the area of Monaghan Road and Hopkins Avenue.  Upon arriving in the area, officers located a male and a female and learned that the dispute had turned physical according to police.

Upon investigation, a 15-year-old Peterborough male was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault cause bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 27, 2022.

Under the Youth Justice Criminal Code, the name of a young person cannot be released.
