Police Looking For Suspect After $19,000 Jewelry Stolen From Store In Lansdowne Place Mall

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough Police are investigating after a jewelry store was broken into early Monday morning.

At approximately 6:00am on May 30, 2022, officers were called to Lansdowne Place Mall after an alarm went off.  Police say upon arrival, officers learned that a male had broken into the mall and then a jewelry store before fleeing with the following worth about $19,000:

  • 19 Citizen Watches (men’s & women’s)
  • 83 Silver Necklaces including several with intricate detailing
  • $200 in Canadian Currency

The male suspect was last spotted heading eastbound on Lansdowne Street on a bicycle and is described as wearing (photo attached):

  • A black sweater with red and white lettering
  • Grey pants
  • Black face covering
  • Black shoes
  • Black hat
  • Backpack
