Lindsay Resident Charged After Allegedly Breaking Into Residential Building On Lindsay Street North

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 22-year-old Lindsay resident is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a residential building.

Police say on Thursday May 26, 2022 at 10:09am Kawartha Lakes Police received an alarm call to a residential building on Lindsay Street North in Lindsay. The alarm was activated when an individual broke into the building through a window. Once inside, when confronted by a security officer the individual assaulted and threatened the officer according to police.

The individual left the scene before police arrived, was located and arrested a short time later. 22-year-old Michaela Davey of Lindsay has been charged with break, enter a place with intent to commit indictable offence, utter threats to cause death or bodily harm, assault and fail to comply with probation.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on May 27, 2022.
