Rolling Hills And Grandview Public Schools To Reopen Tomorrow, Warsaw PS Remains Closed

KAWARTHA LAKES-Trillium Lakelands District School Board says the power issue that caused the closure of Rolling Hills and Grandview Public School has been resolved and schools will reopen tomorrow, Friday, May 27th.

A number of local schools were closed due to power outages following a fierce storm that blew threw the area on Saturday. Rolling Hills and Grandview are the last two to reopen.

The only remaining Kawartha Pine Ridge school without power is Warsaw PS. It will remain closed tomorrow, Friday, May 27th.

All other KPR schools will be open tomorrow.

“We understand that power is expected to be restored to Warsaw PS in the coming days, with the school expected to be open for Monday, May 30th. We will confirm with the Warsaw PS school community directly when power is restored.” said the board.

“Our thoughts continue to be with all those who have been impacted by the storm and have experienced injury, loss, damage to property, and/or continue to be without power.”
