KAWARTHA LAKES-Environment Canada has issued a Frost Advisory for northern Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough County.
Frost advisory in effect for:
- Apsley – Woodview – Northern Peterborough County
- Fenelon Falls – Balsam Lake Park – Northern Kawartha Lakes
Patchy frost possible tonight into Wednesday morning.
Nighttime minimum temperatures are expected to reach between zero and two degrees Celsius in many areas. Temperatures are expected to quickly rise Wednesday morning.
Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.
Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
