Lindsay Man Facing Impaired Driving Charge

KAWARTHA LAKES- A 26-year-old Lindsay man is facing an impaired driving charge.

Police say on Wednesday May 11, 2022 at 7:30pm a Kawartha Lakes Police Service constable stopped a vehicle travelling on Colborne Street West, in order to investigate a traffic infraction. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed alcohol in the vehicle that was readily available to the driver according to police.

26-year-old Kyal Lucas Wasson of Lindsay has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus and one charge each in contravention of the Highway Traffic Act, Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and the Liquor Licence Act.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on June 23, 2022.
