Federal Conservative Leadership Candidate Pierre Poilievre Coming To Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Federal Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre is coming to Lindsay for a meet and greet.

Poilievre will be at the Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group at 354 Angeline Street S in Lindsay from 2-4pm on Sunday April 3.

Poilievre has served as a Member of parliament since 2004 representing the riding of Carleton in the Ottawa area. He served as Minister for Democratic Reform from 2013 to 2015 and Minister of Employment and Social Development in 2015. He studied international relations at the University of Calgary earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

He is married with two children.

Poilievre announced his candidacy on February 5, 2022.

Leslyn Lewis, Roman Babar, Jean Charest, Patrick Brown,Joseph Bourgault,Scott Aitchison,Marc Dalton, Leona Alleslev and Joel Etienne are also vying for the leadership.

The vote will take place on September 10, 2022.
