Patient Charged After Nurse At Ross Memorial Hospital Allegedly Assaulted

KAWARTHA LAKES-A patient has been charged after a nurse was allegedly assaulted at Ross Memorial Hospital.

Police say on March 30, 2022 the Kawartha Lakes Police responded to the Ross Memorial Hospital to investigate an alleged assault. The investigating officer learned that a patient had thrown a glass, striking a nurse in the head according to police. No physical injuries were reported.

The patient has been charged with assault and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay at a later date to answer to the charges.

The name of the accused is not being released by police at this time.
