OPP Tip Results In Impaired Driving Charge For Lindsay Man

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 63-year-old Lindsay man is facing impaired driving charges after a tip from the OPP.

On March 7, 2022 at 4:32PM the Kawartha Lakes Police Service received information from the Ontario Provincial Police about a possible impaired driver travelling towards Lindsay.

Police say the vehicle was located by Kawartha Lakes Police and stopped on Glenelg Street West in Lindsay. While speaking with the driver, the officer allegedly observed signs of impairment and alcohol readily available to the driver according to police.

Robert King of Lindsay is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on April 14, 2022.
