Woodville Resident Facing Impaired Driving Charge After Single Vehicle Collision

KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a driver who was allegedly involved in a single motor vehicle collision on Simcoe Street Mariposa Township.

On February 27, 2022, shortly before 9:00 pm officers were called by a concerned citizen regarding a collision. The driver, who police say had attempted to have their vehicle towed prior to police arrival, was located and the subsequent investigation lead to their arrest.

A 26-year-old man from Woodville has been charged with Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days and the accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay, on March 17, 2022.
