Verulam Resident Charged With Impaired Driving

KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP arrested a driver at a traffic stop recently.

Just after midnight on January 21, 2022 officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle which officers say they observed driving erratically.

Subsequent to investigation Scott YOUNG, 41 years-of-age, of Verulam, was charged with;

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·        Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused’s licence was also suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for 7 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on February 17, 2022.
