Three Peterborough Men Facing Sexual Exploitation And Luring Charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-Three Peterborough area men are facing sexual offence related charges after a police investigation.

On January 12th and 13th, 2022 detectives from the Peterborough Police Service’s Special Victims Unit conducted a proactive investigation into persons targeting those under 18 years of age for the purpose of obtaining sexual services.

As a result of the investigation, 13 criminal charges were laid:

A 40-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested and charged with:

  • Agreement to Commit a Sexual Offence against a Person under 18 years of age
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Communicate with anyone under 18 years of age for purpose of obtaining sexual services
  • Luring a Person Under 18 years of age by means of Telecommunication

A 54-year-old of Otonabee-South Monaghan man was arrested and charged with:

  • Agreement to Commit a Sexual Offence against a Person under 18 years of age
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Communicate with anyone under 18 years of age for purpose of obtaining sexual services
  • Luring a Person Under 18 years of age by means of Telecommunication

A 31-year-old of Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Agreement to Commit a Sexual Offence against a Person under 18 years of age
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Communicate with anyone under 18 years of age for purpose of obtaining sexual services
  • Luring a Person Under 18 years of age by means of Telecommunication
  • Assault with intent to resist arrest

No names were released.

All three accused were released from custody and will appear in court on February 1st, 2022.
