OPP Investigating Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision On Highway 115

KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the Peterborough County OPP and emergency crews are currently on scene of a collision that occurred at approximately 5:00am this morning on the southbound lanes of Highway 115 near Porter Road.

One victim has been pronounced deceased as a result of the collision that involved multiple vehicles.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. All lanes of Highway 115 remain closed while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene. The northbound lanes are closed at Porter Road and the southbound lanes are closed at Tapley ¼ Line.

The Highway 115 closure will remain in place for several hours while police investigate. For road closure information regarding this incident, or any other traffic related events please check Twitter @OPP_COMM_CR for ongoing updates.
