Lindsay Man Charged With Impaired Driving

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 35-year-old Lindsay man is facing impaired driving charges after a traffic complaint.

On November 16, 2021 at approximately 4:00 pm, officers received a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle traveling on Highway 7, in Emily Township. Officers say they conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver to be impaired.

As a result Jordan Van Mierlo of Lindsay has been charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

The accused’s licence was also suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for 7 days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on December 9, 2021.

Impaired drivers continue to threaten the safety and lives of all road users. If you cannot drive sober, don’t drive. If you suspect an impaired driver, call 9-1-1.
