Lindsay Resident Charged After Allegedly Absconding With A Big Screen TV

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay man is facing charges after allegedly absconding with a big-screen TV.

Police say on November 18, 2021 at 6:35pm the Kawartha Lakes Police were contacted by loss prevention staff at a Kent Street West business after observing a male leave the store without paying for merchandise. The male had selected a large-screen television from the shelf and allegedly exited the store without paying. A loss prevention officer called police and monitored the accused who was located by police a short distance from the business.

32-year-old Allan Gouin of Lindsay has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on January 6, 2022.
