49-Year-Old Peterborough Man Identified As Victim Of Crash On Hwy 115 On Sunday

KAWARTHA LAKES-49-year-oldĀ James Gomes of Peterborough has been identified as the victim of a crash on Highway 115 early Sunday morning.

Members of the Peterborough County OPP and emergency crews responded to a collision which occurred on November 14, 2021 at approximately 4:00am on Highway 115 near County Road 10.

According to police a passenger vehicle was travelling northbound on Highway 115 when it left the roadway for unknown reasons. Four occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the collision. Gomes died and three other victims were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Two were later transferred to a Toronto area hospital.

This collision remains under investigation. Any witnesses or anyone that has video/dash camera footage of the collision is asked to contact the Peterborough County OPP Detachment at 705-742-0401 or 1-888-310-1122.
