Two Single Vehicle Collisions Result In Alcohol-Related Driving Charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP investigated two separate single motor vehicle collisions over the weekend where the driver was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

On November 12, 2021 at approximately 9:15 pm officers were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Alban Road, in Manvers Township. Officers attended and their investigation determined the uninjured driver to be impaired by alcohol.

Jeffery MINSHALL, 42 years-of-age, of Nestleton, was arrested and charged with:

·        Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration-80 plus.

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days, vehicle impounded for seven days and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on November 25, 2021.

On November 13, 2021 at approximately 9:30 pm officers were called to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 121, Verulam Township. The driver reported minor injuries as a result of the collision.  A roadside screening device was administered upon the driver which resulted in a warn range according to police. (Blood Alcohol Concentration 0.05-0.08.) The driver’s licence was suspended for three days.
