One Dead, Three People Injured In Crash On Hwy 115

KAWARTHA LAKES-One person is dead and three others injured in a crash on Highway 115 this morning.

Members of the Peterborough County OPP and emergency crews are currently on scene of the collision which occurred at approximately 4:00am this morning on Highway 115 near County Road 10.

Police say a passenger vehicle was travelling northbound on Highway 115 when it left the roadway for unknown reasons. Four occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the collision. One victim has been pronounced deceased. Three victims were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Two of those were later taken to a Toronto area hospital for further treatment of their injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The northbound lanes of Highway 115 remain closed while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene. Detours are in place at Tapley ¼ Line.
