KAWARTHA LAKES-Who needs an alarm clock when you live in Canada!
Lindsay resident Jenn K got a huge surprise when a deer busted through the door of a basement apartment in her home this morning at around 4:15 am.
“When deer season comes to you? What a way to wake up. The deer busted through the apartment door and literally destroyed the place.” she said on Facebook.
After trying to coax the deer out of the apartment with no success she called the police.
“Called the non-emergency number and had some early morning help from City of Kawartha Lakes Police. It was a new one for them too.” Jenn told Kawartha 411 News.
She says she and police built blockades and used taser sounds which finally convinced the deer to leave at 5:30am. (The taser was not used on the animal) No occupants of the home were injured.
“What a crazy mess though. We’ve been cleaning all day”
The bad news is the insurance says they won’t cover the damage.
