Young Offender Facing Drug Charge After Police Respond To Mischief Complaint

KAWARTHA LAKES-A young offender is facing a drug charge after police began investigating a mischief complaint.

Police say on November 10, 2021 at 1:55pm officers responded to a mischief complaint in the area of Riverview Road in Lindsay. The officer located a vehicle parked in the area with three occupants. While speaking to the occupants the officer allegedly observed a large quantity of marijuana in the vehicle.

One adult male is charged with possession for the purpose – selling. A young offender has been charged with the Cannabis Control Act offence of person under 19 years – purchase cannabis.

To protect the identity of the young offender, names are not being released.
