UPDATE: Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Little Britain

UPDATE:The pedestrian was later pronounced deceased, and has been identified as Hugh Manley, 68 years-of-age, of Fenelon Township.

KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP are investigating a collision that occurred at approximately 6:10 pm Monday evening.

Officers, EMS and Fire attended the scene on Little Britain Road, where a vehicle struck a pedestrian according to police. The victim has been transported to a Toronto area hospital with life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported at the collision.

Little Britain Road was currently closed from Eldon Road to Valentia Road while OPP members trained in collision reconstruction document the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing with the OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) team. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has video footage is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
