UPDATE: ROAD OPEN-Highway 35 Closed After Serious Two Vehicle Collision Near Cameron

KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP remains on the scene of a serious two-vehicle collision this morning on Highway 35

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency services responded to the scene at approximately 6:30 a.m., on Highway 35 in Cameron. The highway was closed for several hours while the OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) unit were at the scene.

Two drivers and one passenger were injured in the head-on collision that involved an SUV and a van. Two of the injured parties were transported to a Toronto area hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Anyone that witnessed or has video footage of this collision is asked to call the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Detachment at 705-324-6741, the non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122 or Crimestoppers.
