Weapons, Drug, Impaired and Stunt Driving Charges Laid By OPP

KAWARTHA LAKES- Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP were busy with weapons, drugs and stunt driving charges recently.

Police say on October 26, 2021 at approximately 10:23 a.m. on Kirkfield Road, in Eldon Township, officers stopped a commercial motor vehicle which was allegedly traveling 100 km/h in a 50km/h zone. The driver was charged with stunt driving and is scheduled to appear at the Lindsay Provincial Offences court at a later date.

On October 29, 2021 shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Highway 35 in OPS Township, officers stopped a motor vehicle for speeding. Police say further investigation revealed the driver to be impaired by alcohol.

As a result Carter Pascoe, 19 years-of-age, of Bethany has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Speeding
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

On November 2, 2021 at approximately 1:45 a.m., on County Road 8 in Fenelon Township, an investigation lead to weapons and drug charges. As a result Zachary Bradbury, 25 years-of-age, of Cameron has been charged with:

  •    Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  •    Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid
