Peterborough Area Woman Dies After ATV Crash On Saturday

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 44-year-old woman lost her life in an ATV crash on Saturday.

Members of the Peterborough County OPP and emergency crews were called to assist after an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collided with a tree at approximately 7:00pm on October 30, 2021.

The victim was travelling on Sandy Lake Road when their ATV left the roadway and collided with a tree according to police. The victim was transported to a Kingston area hospital with life-threatening injuries and pronounced deceased at 9:50pm last night.

The deceased has been identified as Nicole Richardson of Otonabee-South Monaghan Township.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
