KAWARTHA LAKES-Can you hear the jingle bells jingling? Christmas is coming, which means it’s time to register for a Christmas Hamper if you need some help this holiday season.
The Fenelon Falls Salvation Army is currently taking registrations. A specific pick-up time for your Christmas FOOD Hamper will be provided (week of Dec 13-17).

In lieu of toys for children this year, the Salvation Army Fenelon Falls will be providing Gift Cards to help you purchase gifts that are appropriate to your family’s needs. You will be asked to share your preferred store(s) for purchasing gifts for your children, and they will do their best to accommodate your preferences. Gift cards will be distributed at a specific time before your food hamper so that you have time to shop.
Please submit only one registration form per household.
The Peterborough Salvation Army is taking bookings for Christmas Assistance starting today. Call 705-742-4391. Appointments are availalbe between November 23 and December 17th. Grocery gift cards for food will be given based on the size of the family. Toy gift cards will be provided for kids under 18.
Individuals living in the south end of CKL (Omemee, Reaboro, Dunsford, Little Britain, Manilla, Oakwood, Bethany, Janetville, Lindsay) can sign up either in-person (30 Peel ST. Lindsay) on a Tuesday or Thursday in November, between 10am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm, or they can sign-up online at https://www.cognitoforms.
Hamper pick-up dates are December 21 or December 22nd at The Salvation Army Community Church located on Eglington St, in Lindsay.
For those that sign-up online, a specific pick-up time will be provided within a week of receiving the application.
