KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating two separate robberies over the weekend.
On Sunday October 31, 2021 at 2:49am, Kawartha Lakes Police responded to an alarm at a William Street North business. It is reported that at 2:44am a male entered the store, selected an item before leaving to get his payment card. According to police the male re-entered the store, demanding cash and threatening the store clerk while pulling a knife from his pocket. The clerk activated the alarm and the male fled the store.
The male is described as; white, heavy set, approximately 40 years old, wearing a red t-shirt, with a black hooded sweater underneath, black pants and brown glasses. (Pictured)
On Saturday October 30, 2021 at 6:39am, Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a separate robbery call at a Lindsay Street South business. Just after, 6:00am a male entered the business and made a purchase before leaving. A short time later the same male returned to the store, with a second male. Both males had their faces covered and approached the store clerk claiming to have a weapon and demanded cash before exiting the store.
