Brazen Daytime Theft In Lindsay Caught on Camera, Charges Laid

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 50 year old woman from Lindsay is facing charges after being caught on camera allegedly stealing a stroller.

Police say on Sunday October 24, 2021 at 9:32am, officers were called to a Glenelg Street East address for the report of a theft. A female had walked onto the porch of the address and removed property according to police. With the assistance of video surveillance and witnesses, officers were able to identify, locate and arrest the suspect.

50-year-old Christina Pearsell of Lindsay has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, fail to comply with probation order and failure to comply with release order.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West on December 2, 2021.
