City Of Kawartha Lakes Thanksgiving Long Weekend Municipal Hours Of Operation

KAWARTHA LAKES-With Thanksgiving taking place this weekend, Kawartha Lakes would like to remind residents of municipal services and hours of operation over the long weekend.

Waste and Recycling
Please be advised that your normally scheduled day for curbside collection will move one day forward:

  • Monday October 11 waste collection will be on Tuesday October 12
  • Tuesday October 12 waste collection will be on Wednesday October 13
  • Wednesday October 13 waste collection will be on Thursday October 14
  • Thursday October 14 waste collection will be on Friday October 15

Hours of operation on Monday, October 11 for Kawartha Lakes landfills are as follows:

  • Eldon: 11am to 5pm
  • Fenelon Falls: 9am to 5pm
  • Laxton: 11am to 5pm
  • Lindsay Ops: Closed
  • Somerville: 11am to 5pm

Municipal Administration and Service Centres
Please be advised that our Service Centres, including Customer Service phone lines, will be closed on Monday October 11, returning to regular office hours and service on Tuesday October 12.

Parks, Recreation and Culture
All Parks, Recreation and Culture facilities will be closed on Monday October 11. This includes the administrative office, all recreation centres, arenas and pools, fitness classes, swimming programs and day camp. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday October 12.

Public Library
All Kawartha Lakes Public Library branches will be closed Monday October 11. Regular branch hours will resume on Tuesday October 12.

Transit
There will be no Lindsay Transit or LIMO Specialized Transit Service on Monday October 11. Regular hours and operations will resume on Tuesday October 12.
