Woodbridge Man Charged After Resident Assaulted While Sitting On A Bench On Kent Street

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 22-year-old Woodbridge man is facing charges after a reported assault in Lindsay.

Police say on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at 10:46am Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a Kent Street West business for a reported assault. The victim was seated on a bench when approached by the accused, who began yelling and struck the victim causing minor physical injuries according to police.

As a result of an investigation, 22-year-old Mahad Mohamed of Woodbridge was arrested and charged with assault. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 18, 2021.
